Everything we sell is a digital file you download immediately. This policy explains, before you buy, exactly where you stand.
[TO COMPLETE BEFORE LAUNCH] Have a solicitor review this document against your final checkout flow. It is a working draft, not legal advice.
The short version
Because your guide is delivered instantly, you agree at checkout to immediate access and give up the usual 14-day cancellation right. That is a legal requirement we have to make clear up front, and it is why this page exists.
But if something is actually wrong — the file will not download, it is corrupt, or it is not what we described — tell us and we will fix it or refund you. Those rights cannot be signed away, and we would not want to.
Why there is no 14-day cooling-off period
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you would normally have 14 days to cancel an online purchase.
That right does not apply to digital content that is downloaded immediately, provided you have given express consent to immediate supply and acknowledged that you lose the right to cancel. You give that consent at checkout, before payment, by accepting our terms.
Once you have access to the file, the purchase is final, subject to the statutory rights below.
When we will refund you
Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are unaffected by anything on this page. Digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described. If it is not, contact us and we will put it right.
We will repair, replace or refund where:
- The download fails and we cannot get you a working file
- The file is corrupt, incomplete or will not open
- You were charged more than once for the same guide
- You were charged for a guide you did not buy
- The guide is materially different from what the product page described
We will not normally refund where:
- You have read the guide and did not find it useful
- You bought the wrong guide by mistake, though do ask — see below
- You already own the material, or found it elsewhere
- You cannot open the file because of a problem on your own device that we can help you solve
The honest bit
If you bought the wrong guide by accident, email us within 14 days and tell us what happened. We would rather swap it for the one you meant to buy, or refund it, than have you feel cheated over £9.99. We keep an eye out for people who make a habit of it, but we start by believing you.
How to ask
Email hello@damidigitallibrary.com with:
- The email address you used at checkout
- Your order reference, from your receipt
- What went wrong
We aim to reply within one working day. Approved refunds go back to your original payment method through Stripe and usually appear within 5 to 10 working days, depending on your bank.
Chargebacks
If something has gone wrong, please email us first. We can almost always sort it out faster than your bank can, and a chargeback on a £9.99 digital product costs us considerably more than the sale was worth.
